December Photo Project | Part 2

December 13, 2014

Week two of the December Photo Project was fun. I thought by now I’d be tired of trying to find a story in my everyday, but I haven’t yet. In fact, I’m finding myself with more photos and more stories than I would have guessed. There’s a lot of picture taking going on around here this December (and I kinda love it!).

Here’s what things looked like around here this week.

December 6: Saturday movie morning (because we missed Friday movie night getting our Christmas tree)

December 7: The sun finally came out!!

December 8: Trimming the tree

December 9: Final leaf cleanup before the big storm the next day

December 10: The day of the big storm when my back was killing me and I finally had to concede and go to the chiropractor (and totally forgot to take a photo until the last minute)

December 11: Playing around with still life and shadows

December 12: Sneak attack!!

And don’t forget to check out the posts over at habit. Some of my photos over there are different.

Oh, these are priceless moments. I see many stories here…love the way you capture your children, the moments of your everyday. Each time I see photos of your children, I’m transported back to when my little ones were this age (they are now 6 and almost 9). Such precious times, yet also hard at times…a fine balance, always. You have absolutely adorable children, Lindsay.

I love hearing that, April! Especially because your kids and mine are three years apart, so there are probably many similarities. I’ve loved this project because it’s capturing the ordinary that I know I’ll be grateful to have these photos in the future. It’s an awesome blessing, this photography thing!

I haven’t thought too much about a 365! I did one in 2009, 2010, and 2012. It seems like those were simpler times (not that I consider photography to be complex, but I demand more of myself), but I’ll have to think about it. I still have 13 days to decide, right?
